Utah added the first running back of its 2018 class on Tuesday and its fourth overall commitment.

Kenyon Sims, a 3-star prospect, committed to the Utes on Tuesday night in a live announcement on KUSI-TV.

The 5-foot-11, 195-pound running back from Lincoln School in San Diego had offers from nine schools, including three from Pac-12 members (Arizona, Utah and Washington State). Sims spent the previous three years at Mission Bay High School before transferring to Lincoln.

The San Diego television station played a video prepared by Sims and two other teammates to help announce his commitment. Also appearing in the video was Mission Hills quarterback and fellow Utah commit Jack Tuttle, who told Sims “welcome to the family.”

Below are Sims’ highlights from his junior season at Mission Bay.
